Peracetic Test Strips
Peracetic Acid Test Strips are semi-quantitative test strips for rapid measurement of peracetic acid (PAA) concentration in brewery CIP and sanitiser solutions. They provide a fast, reliable check that working PAA strength is within target before equipment is returned to service.
Peracetic Acid Test Strips are simple, single-use indicator strips designed for the rapid verification of peracetic acid concentration in brewery cleaning and sanitising solutions. They provide a practical on-the-spot check that PAA disinfectant strength is at the correct level before contact time begins, supporting consistent sanitation outcomes across CIP, manual cleaning, and soak applications.
These test strips work by reacting with peracetic acid in solution to produce a colour change, which is then matched to a printed reference chart to determine concentration in parts per million (ppm). Results are typically available within 5-15 seconds, allowing operators to make immediate decisions on whether to proceed, top up, or remake a working solution. This is particularly useful for verifying that diluted PAA solutions are at the correct working strength (typically 150-200 ppm for terminal disinfection) and for monitoring concentrate strength as products age, since active PAA content can degrade over time.
Peracetic Acid Test Strips are an essential tool for any brewery using PAA-based products such as PAA 5 or PAA 15. They support good sanitation practice, help avoid both under-dosing (which compromises microbial control) and over-dosing (which is wasteful and unnecessary), and provide simple documentary evidence for HACCP and quality records. Each vial contains 100 strips for routine, repeat use across the production cycle.
Peracetic Acid Test Strips are suitable for:
- Verifying working PAA concentration in CIP solutions
- Confirming dilution accuracy when preparing working solutions
- Monitoring concentrate strength of stored PAA products
- Routine sanitation programme verification
- HACCP and quality assurance documentation
- Soak bath strength monitoring
- On-the-spot checks before disinfection contact time begins
