Tanks
Fermentation Vessels
Fermentation vessels are cylindroconical tanks designed for controlled primary fermentation, yeast management, and efficient separation of solids throughout the brewing process. Manufactured in food-grade SS304 stainless steel, they provide a stable, hygienic environment for consistent fermentation performance, supporting everything from pilot batches to full-scale production.
Available from 1 hL to 300 hL, fermentation vessels are fully insulated and dimple-jacketed for glycol cooling, enabling precise temperature control during fermentation, conditioning, and cold crashing. The conical base promotes effective yeast collection and discharge, while pressure-rated construction and sanitary fittings ensure safe operation, reliable process control, and repeatable product quality across installations.
Built for consistent fermentation
-
01
Precise temperature control
Glycol-fed jacket segments covering the cone and body allow independent zone control, keeping fermentation temperature stable from pitch to crash cool without relying on ambient cellar conditions.
-
02
60° conical base for clean yeast cropping
The steep conical base promotes reliable yeast sedimentation, making successive crops straightforward and reducing carry-over into the finished beer.
-
03
CIP-ready fittings as standard
Spray-ball inlet, drain, and sample valve positions follow standard hygienic fitting layouts so the vessel integrates directly with CIP circuits without additional modification.
Cellar efficiency and control
-
04
Pressure-rated for flexible operation
Designed as a pressure vessel, allowing spunding, closed transfers, and in-vessel carbonation. This reduces oxygen pickup, supports COâ‚‚ retention, and improves overall product stability from fermentation through to transfer.
-
05
Full-drain, hygienic construction
60° conical base and flush-ground internal welds eliminate dead zones, ensuring complete drainage and consistent clean-in-place performance. Hygienic design reduces contamination risk and supports repeatable batch quality.
-
06
Integrated sampling and control
Sanitary sample valve and side-mounted thermowell enable accurate in-process monitoring without opening the vessel. Supports consistent fermentation management and reliable quality control across batches.
Available configurations
-
CCV - Indoor
Standard cylindroconical fermenter for controlled cellar environments. Fully jacketed and insulated, suited to primary fermentation, conditioning, and cold crashing in indoor installations.
-
CCV - Outdoor
Same specification as indoor vessels, designed for external installation without additional casing. Suitable where indoor space is limited or capacity is expanded beyond the building footprint.
-
Open-top fermenter
Traditional open vessel for top-fermenting styles. Supports yeast cropping from the surface and is suited to breweries producing cask ales or styles requiring open fermentation character.
-
Yorkshire Square
Two-chamber fermentation system for classic Northern English ales. Upper chamber promotes yeast head formation and top-cropping, enabling distinct fermentation profiles with traditional ale strains.
