1. Introduction
SKY AGRO LTD supplies brewing ingredients, hygiene chemicals and brewing equipment exclusively to registered business customers, including commercial breweries, distilleries, cideries and food processing businesses. This policy sets out the terms applicable to wholesale account customers and to pre-orders for goods not yet in stock or not yet available for immediate dispatch.
This policy forms part of our Terms and Conditions. By placing a wholesale or pre-order with us, you accept the terms set out below.
2. Wholesale Accounts
2.1 Eligibility
Wholesale accounts are available to registered businesses only. To apply for a wholesale account, you must:
- be a registered business with a valid company registration number or sole trader registration;
- be purchasing goods for commercial use in brewing, distilling, cider-making, or food processing; ingredients and chemicals supplied by us are not intended for resale except as incorporated into finished products or with our prior written consent; this restriction does not apply to brewing equipment, which may be resold;
- provide accurate and complete business details at the time of registration; and
- agree to our Terms and Conditions in full.
We reserve the right to decline any application for a wholesale account at our discretion.
2.2 Wholesale Pricing
Wholesale pricing is available to approved wholesale account holders. Prices are shown exclusive of VAT. Pricing is subject to change and will be confirmed at the time of order.
Volume discounts may be available on certain product lines. Please contact us at info@sky-agro.com or on +44 1327 828001 to discuss pricing for large or repeat orders.
2.3 Minimum Order Quantities
Minimum order quantities (MOQs) may apply to certain products, particularly malt and bulk chemical orders. Where MOQs apply, they will be clearly indicated on the relevant product page and confirmed at the time of order. Current indicative MOQs are:
| Product Category | Indicative MOQ | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Malt (sacked) | 1 full pallet (40 × 25 kg bags) | Part-pallet orders subject to availability |
| Dry yeast | 1 unit (500 g) | No minimum for most varieties |
| Chemicals, including hygiene chemicals, finings and processing aids | 25 litre or 25 kg container | Subject to ADR requirements |
| Brewing equipment | No minimum | — |
2.4 Credit Accounts
Credit account facilities may be available to established wholesale customers, subject to application and satisfactory credit check. Applications will be assessed in accordance with our standard credit assessment process. Credit terms and credit limits will be agreed in writing.
Standard payment terms are payment in full prior to dispatch unless a credit account has been agreed in writing. Where credit account terms apply, payment is due by the date stated on the invoice. Interest on overdue invoices is charged in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.
We reserve the right to suspend or withdraw credit facilities at any time where payment is overdue or where the creditworthiness of a customer changes materially.
2.5 Standing Orders and Regular Supply
We can accommodate regular standing orders for certain product lines, subject to stock availability and agreement in writing. Please contact us to discuss your supply requirements. We will confirm the terms of any standing order arrangement in writing before the first dispatch. Where prices applicable to an active standing order change, we will give you a minimum of 30 days’ written notice before the new price takes effect.
3. Pre-Orders
3.1 What Is a Pre-Order
A pre-order is an order placed for goods that are not yet in stock or not yet available for immediate dispatch — for example, seasonal yeast strains, malt from a forthcoming production run, or equipment lines not yet arrived at our warehouse. Pre-orders allow you to secure allocation ahead of general availability.
3.2 How Pre-Orders Work
Where a product is available for pre-order, this will be clearly indicated on the product page, together with the estimated availability date. By placing a pre-order, you agree to purchase the goods subject to the terms of this policy.
Pre-orders are subject to confirmation by us. A binding contract is formed only when we issue a written order confirmation.
3.3 Payment for Pre-Orders
Payment for pre-orders is required in full at the time of placing the pre-order, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Your payment is held until the goods are dispatched.
Credit account customers may, where agreed, have pre-orders invoiced on dispatch rather than at the time of order. This will be confirmed in writing.
3.4 Estimated Availability Dates
Estimated availability dates for pre-order goods are based on our best information at the time of listing. These are estimates only and do not constitute a contractual commitment to make goods available on or by a specific date.
We will notify you promptly by email if the expected availability date changes materially. Where a delay is significant, you may cancel your pre-order and receive a full refund — see clause 3.6 below.
3.5 Allocation
Where demand for a pre-order product exceeds available stock, allocation will be made in order of confirmed pre-orders. We will inform you as soon as possible if we are unable to fulfil your pre-order in full. In that case, we will fulfil the available portion and refund the remainder, or offer you the option to cancel and receive a full refund.
3.6 Cancellation of Pre-Orders
You may cancel a pre-order at any time before we have dispatched the goods by notifying us in writing at info@sky-agro.com. If you cancel before dispatch:
- where goods have not yet been sourced or allocated specifically for your order, we will issue a full refund within 5 working days;
- where goods have already been sourced, reserved or allocated specifically for your order, a cancellation fee of up to 15% of the order value may apply to cover our reasonable costs.
We reserve the right to cancel a pre-order at any time if the product becomes unavailable or if we are unable to source the goods. In that event, we will issue a full refund within 5 working days and notify you immediately.
3.7 Dispatch and Delivery of Pre-Orders
Once pre-order goods are available and ready for dispatch, they will be delivered in accordance with our Delivery Policy. You will receive a dispatch notification with tracking details. Delivery charges applicable to your pre-order will be confirmed at the time of ordering and will not increase between the order date and dispatch, unless there is a material change in your delivery address or requirements.
4. Custom, Bespoke and Specially Sourced Orders
We can source products not listed on our website, including custom grain bills, bespoke yeast strains, specialist equipment and non-catalogue chemical products, subject to supplier availability and minimum quantities.
Custom and specially sourced orders are subject to the following:
- A written quotation will be provided before any order is confirmed. The quotation will state the price, estimated lead time, MOQ and any non-returnable or non-cancellable terms applicable to that product.
- Custom and specially sourced goods are non-returnable and non-cancellable once an order has been confirmed, except where the goods are faulty or not as described.
- Payment in full is required at the time of order confirmation unless otherwise agreed.
To enquire about a custom or bespoke order, please contact us at info@sky-agro.com or on +44 1327 828001.
